Kelly Unplugged
I am pleased to announce the signing of a publishing deal with 1000 Tracks whose specialty is music placement in TV and movies. I look forward to a long and successful relationship.

All of my solo CDs have been written, performed, recorded and produced entirely by me in the Glue Factory studio. In "Short Stories" I draw on past masters as diverse as “Leadbelly”, Jim Croce and the Beatles.

"Under Blue Water" features me sitting in front of the mics and recording live in one long session on July 3, 2006. This is what you'd hear at a live show.

"Polar Bear", now available, is a much more ambitious undertaking, as there is a full band on all but one tune. With more of a rock 'n roll attitude and much more electric guitar work, this CD took a while to make.

As a teenager, I grew up touring the northeastern U. S. bar/club circuit in the early ‘70’s. In those days a band had to be able to go from a disco tune to a heavy metal tune to a country lament, and had to be able to do 4 or 5 sets a night for 6 nights a week! (The seventh night was usually reserved piling in the van and traveling to the next town.) I play guitar, bass, harmonica, drums and keyboards. In addition, all of the harmonies are mine.

I've been compared to CSN&Y, John Lennon and Green Day as well as Pink Floyd and Dylan. I'll just say that my music is my music. Listen and decide for yourself.
..I feel like I’ve discovered one of the great unknown songwriters.
-Bill Remington, Portland, Oregon

I’ve been following Kelly since way back in his “Poker Face” days in Texas, so I’ll admit to being a bit biased. But I think “Short Stories” is going to finally prove to a lot of people that he’s a major songwriting talent.
-Janie Rainier, Dallas, Texas

I love the acoustic guitar formula. It makes me feel like I’m back home on the front porch, where we used to sit around playing guitars after work. In fact, we used to call this kind of music “front porch” music. Shoot! Pass me another beer and play it again!!
-Sue Johnston, Fredricksburg, Texas

“Sing” just blows me away. I’m still trying to get over the fact that this is just one guy!
-John, Austin, Texas

“I love it! …I can’t wait ‘til your next c.d. comes out!”
-Daryl Jackson, Tampa, Florida

“…reminds me of some of my favorite old Simon and Garfunkel albums. I love all the harmonies. It’s one of the c.d.’s that I keep coming back to over and over again.”
-Tish Marner, Decatur, Texas
