I am invisible in your
society
I have no union card or job security
You don’t know what it’s
like to be someone like me
And I run from the worst kind of poverty
I
am invisible you cannot see me
Although I fill your schools and penitentiaries
I
build the roads the ride
I cook the meals you eat
And I do what must
be done
And I work from the rising to the settin’ sun
I got to
let go
Oh
I am invisible in your society
I have no union
card or job security
You don’t know what to take or make of me
And I’m
running scared but I’m running free
I guess that’s enough for a man
like me
